Method
- Scrub the potatoes thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- Use a fork to poke holes all over each potato (about 6–8 times per potato) to allow steam to escape while cooking.
- Rub each potato with olive oil to coat evenly and sprinkle with sea salt.
- Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not touch for proper air circulation.
- Set the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) and cook the potatoes for 35–40 minutes, turning them halfway through with tongs.
- To check doneness, pierce the potato with a fork; it should glide in easily and the skin should be crisp.
- Remove carefully with tongs, let cool for 2–3 minutes, then serve with your favorite toppings.
Notes
Cooking time may vary slightly based on the size of your potatoes and the model of air fryer used. Larger potatoes may require up to 45–50 minutes.
Optional toppings include butter, sour cream, chives, shredded cheese, and bacon bits.
For a vegetarian or vegan option, try plant-based toppings such as vegan butter or salsa.
