Method
- Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (392°F) for 5 minutes.
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels for maximum crispiness.
- In a mixing bowl, toss the wings with olive oil so they are evenly coated.
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Toss the wings until all are evenly coated with the seasoning mix.
- Place the chicken wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. If necessary, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding.
- Air fry the wings at 200°C (392°F) for 25 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping the wings halfway through for even cooking.
- Once the wings are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
If you prefer saucy wings, toss the cooked wings in your favorite wing sauce (like buffalo or BBQ) after air frying.
For extra crispy wings, you can add 1 tablespoon of baking powder (not baking soda) to the seasoning mix.
To ensure food safety, the internal temperature of the chicken wings should reach at least 75°C (165°F).
Serve with celery sticks and ranch or blue cheese dressing for a classic presentation.
