Ingredients

  • 2 fillets salmon 150 g each (total 300 g)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 small lemon cut into wedges

Equipment

  • 1 Air fryer
  • 1 Small bowl
  • 1 Measuring spoons
  • 1 Paper towel
  • 1 Silicon brush (optional)
  • 1 Tongs or spatula

Method

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. This helps the outside crisp up.
  2. In a small bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Brush both sides of the salmon fillets lightly with olive oil.
  4. Sprinkle the spice blend evenly over both sides of the salmon.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 2 minutes.
  6. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the basket. Make sure they are not overlapping.
  7. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, depending on thickness. The salmon is cooked through when it flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 63°C (145°F).
  8. Serve hot with lemon wedges for squeezing over the top.

Notes

For thicker fillets, add 1–2 extra minutes to cooking time.
Try different spices such as smoked paprika or chili flakes for variety.
Serve with a side of steamed vegetables, salad, or rice for a complete meal.
If your air fryer is smaller, cook in two batches to avoid overcrowding.
