Method
- Wash the spinach, cucumber, apples, and lemon thoroughly.
- If using a juicer, feed the spinach, cucumber, apples, lemon, and ginger through the juicer. Collect the juice in a jug.
- If using a blender, add the spinach, cucumber, apples, lemon, ginger, and cold water to the blender. Blend on high until smooth.
- Place a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth over a bowl. Pour the blended mixture through the strainer to separate the juice from the pulp. Use the back of a spoon to press out as much liquid as possible.
- Pour the strained juice into two glasses.
- Serve immediately over ice if desired.
Notes
Best served fresh; can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours but may separate.
Add mint, parsley, or kale for variation.
For sweeter juice, add half a pear or more apple.
If you like it tangier, use more lemon.
