Method
- In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, honey, minced garlic, oregano, paprika, black pepper, and salt until well combined.
- Place the chicken breasts in a zip-top bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are coated.
- Seal the bag or cover the dish. Refrigerate and marinate for at least 30 minutes, up to 8 hours for deeper flavor.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 200°C).
- Remove chicken from marinade and let excess drip off. Discard remaining marinade.
- Grill chicken for 6–8 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F) and juices run clear.
- Remove from grill and cover loosely with foil. Rest for 5 minutes before slicing or serving.
Notes
This marinade also works well for chicken thighs or drumsticks; adjust cooking time as needed.
If preferred, substitute honey with maple syrup or brown sugar.
For best flavor, marinate overnight.
Serve with grilled vegetables, salad, or rice for a complete meal.
