- In a mixing bowl, add mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk. Whisk until smooth.
- Add parsley, dill, chives, and lemon juice to the bowl.
- Sprinkle in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Whisk all ingredients together until creamy and well combined.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. If the dressing is too thick, add a little more buttermilk to reach your desired consistency.
- Pour dressing into an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving for best flavor development.
- Dressing keeps in the fridge for up to 1 week.
- For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for the sour cream.
- If using dried herbs, reduce the amount to 1/3 the quantity of fresh herbs.
- Excellent as a dip for vegetables, chicken wings, or fries in addition to a salad dressing.
