Method
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then add milk and melted butter. Whisk to combine.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, whisking until smooth and lump-free. Let the batter rest for 5 minutes.
- Heat a nonstick frying pan over medium heat and lightly grease with melted butter.
- Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the center of the pan, swirling immediately to form a thin, even layer.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes or until the edges begin to lift and the underside is golden. Flip carefully with a spatula, cook for another 30 seconds, then remove to a plate.
- Repeat with the remaining batter, stacking cooked crepes as you go.
- Spread approximately 2 tablespoons of Nutella over half of each crepe while still warm.
- Arrange sliced strawberries on top of Nutella. Fold the crepe in half, then into quarters, or simply roll it up.
- Serve immediately, dusted with powdered sugar if desired, and garnish with extra strawberries.
Notes
Letting the batter rest is key to smooth, tender crepes.
You can prepare crepes ahead and reheat briefly in the pan or microwave.
If Nutella is firm, microwave for 10-15 seconds to make spreading easier.
For extra flavor, add a splash of vanilla or a pinch of cinnamon to the batter.
