  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 pinch salt Optional.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Optional.

Equipment

  • 1 large saucepan
  • 1 wooden spoon or silicone spatula
  • 1 9x13-inch baking pan

Method

  1. Prepare your baking pan by lining it with parchment paper or spraying it with non-stick spray.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  3. Add the marshmallows to the melted butter, stirring constantly until they are completely melted and mixed with the butter. Remove from heat.
  4. Stir in salt and vanilla extract if using.
  5. Add the Rice Krispies cereal to the saucepan. Quickly and gently stir until all the cereal is evenly coated with the melted marshmallow mixture.
