  • 2 grams black pepper About 1/2 teaspoon.
  • 1 gram red pepper flakes (optional) About 1/4 teaspoon.
  • 10 grams fresh parsley, chopped About 2 tablespoons.

Equipment

  • 1 large skillet
  • 1 measuring spoons
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 spatula

Method

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil and half of the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, but not browned.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2 minutes without stirring.
  5. Flip the shrimp and cook for another 1–2 minutes until pink and opaque.
  6. Add the remaining butter, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss to coat the shrimp evenly.
  7. Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  8. Serve immediately with your choice of side.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the shrimp in a little olive oil, garlic, and lemon zest for 15 minutes before cooking.
This dish pairs well with steamed rice, angel hair pasta, or a crispy baguette to soak up the sauce.
To reduce calories, use half the butter or swap with more olive oil.
