- In a medium mixing bowl, use a hand mixer or whisk to blend together the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning until smooth and well combined.
- Spread the mixture evenly onto the bottom of your 9x13 inch serving dish or a shallow platter using a spatula.
- Spoon the salsa evenly over the cream cheese mixture.
- Layer shredded lettuce on top of the salsa.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the lettuce layer.
- Top with sliced olives, diced tomatoes, and green onions.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld, if time permits.
- Serve cold with tortilla chips.

You can add more toppings such as diced avocado or jalapenos for extra flavor.
For a spicier kick, use hot salsa or extra taco seasoning.
For a lighter version, substitute low-fat cream cheese and sour cream.
